Bell Foundry installed two new vertical four-axis CNC machining centers in May 2002. With table reaches of 20" x 40" and vertical travel of 15" the foundry can machine a wide range of medium-sized aluminum and iron castings.

Other in house machining capabilities include milling, boring, slotting, drilling, and tapping operations. An environmentally approved water-based dip paint line is on site. A complete range of heat treatment, sourced among several nearby facilities, is provided. Additionally, long term relationships with local machine shops can be called upon to provide even the most closely toleranced, fully finished parts.

An established group of pattern design and fabrication shops supports the new tooling requirements. The foundry's in-house department can maintain and duplicate patterns and core boxes and designs and sets of all gates and runners. When customers need to make small changes to existing parts the department is often able to perform the necessary tooling modifications in-house.

Bell Foundry specializes in the production of aluminum and ductile iron castings used in a varirty of automotive aftermarket applications. Many of these castings are also machined by the foundry.
